Women Only | Kenya | Eco-Luxury - Ethical Safaris in Kenya

This is the first Elephant I saw on Safari. Its my favourite picture!

Why I created an Ethical Safari in Kenya.

I have created this women-only eco-luxury safari in Kenya, via years of first hand experience and travel. I booked a budget basic safari and also private camps with personal chefs.

Each experience revealed what truly supports comfort, safety, connection, and presence. Safety to some women is not safety to this 50-year-old from Europe! Driving slowly also has many different means across the globe, as does basic accommodation.

I don't want you to stay awake at night!

Having stayed awake at night in fear of everything in one camp, scared out of my life from walking to the toilet in other camps, and eating meat as a vegetarian, because of ill-informed waiters…

I have taken those lessons and created something special. This carefully designed small-group safari for women, led by women, is rooted in responsible and safe travel

Small groups matter, and so does comfort. On a Safari, the adrenaline of seeing animals will lead to fatigue. Therefore, time to rest on a Safari, to enjoy the facilities of the camp and also to sleep well are essential to reduce lethargy.

That is why, this Safari builds in comfort breaks and only offers eco-luxury accommodation that are established in Kenya. This is a conscious safari in Kenya. We also visit schools and gain knowledge on both culture and conservation. Responsible tourism guarantees a brilliant experience that will be cherished forever. I made all the mistakes before, so you don’t have to.

Pacing is vital to enjoy the experience. A packed itinerary is not bespoke. Best Safaris with Sunworld provides sustainable travel and ethical luxury experiences. Silence and time are confused with not being adventurous. I coined a phrase called Active Luxury. That is what I love and offer. Living in Kenya and being present is what our Safari is about. Reiki in the wild is also a marvellous experience that we have incorporated to keep you stress-free. Enjoy the warmth of Africa.

This Safari gives back to Kenya and reflects how I feel travel should feel.

So why is an Ethical Safari Different?

Now, this is a great question. Because an ethical Safari will not harm the animals, or endanger them. This means in return, you will also not slip a disc when the driver tries to chase an animal at 100 mph. Or drive erratically, so you can score the best picture.

You will get the pictures that you want, but without the drama of human and animal conflicts.

Human and Animal Conflicts?

Oh yes. And, I am not talking about poachers here. I am talking about aggressive tour operators promising too much. Promising close-ups of animals, out of the boundaries set by the National Parks. Going off grid in order to chase a leopard.

Does this really happen?

It happened to me. I was on a safari, and the driver just went off-road in thick high-cut grass. I was worried we would disturb wildlife, kill birds or destroy nests. But everyone else was happy. I felt as though I was in a situation that I did not want to be in and it was supposed to be my dream at the time.

Sadly, this scenario is very real. This will never happen on my safaris. We can get excited, feel thrilled, and enjoy nature less aggressively. Also, we don't want backache!

Are Safari's Over Crowded?

Yes. During the Great Migration. That is why my Safaris are for the Green Season. This is April and May 2026 or October and November 2026.

What do you offer?

So, will I still see animals on an ethical safari?

YES! But, you will also plant trees, go on bushwalks, visit schools, enjoy some peace, do Reiki, and have a more holistic experience.

The Green Season Sounds Great, but are there a lot of Mosquitoes?

No. There are mosquitoes near the beach and where there is a lot of water, but in the North of Kenya, they are minimal. In the Masai Mara, there are mosquitoes all year around and you have to make sure that you pack properly to avoid being bitten.

Do you have any Style Guides for Safari?

Yes. I have many, please see Safari Style and Safari Outfits for the over 50

What about Photography?

Yes. I love photography, even though I am not brilliant. I like taking pictures of wildlife, but I love taking pictures of Maasai Women more. All the drivers who support me on the tours are experts at photography and can help you!
