Ethical Luxury Safaris: A Women-Only Journey with Purpose

A woman-only ethical journey in Kenya designed for the

conscious woman

These ethical safaris are exclusively women-only group experiences. I created these safaris after years of travelling solo and seeing how transformative it is when women travel together. These safaris are without compromises. They are exclusive, ethical and will give you space to deeply connect in Kenya - and with you.

Our Four Pillars of Regenerative Travel in Kenya

To me, an Ethical Safari is not a checkbox. It is a profound commitment to the land that hosts us. In this case Kenya.

It is a realisation that true luxury cannot exist if it comes at the cost of the environment, or the local community. When you join an Active Luxury expedition, your presence becomes a catalyst for preservation.

We define our ethical standards through four pillars of regenerative travel.

1. Ethical Standards & Fair Labour Standards: We believe the heart of Kenya is its people. By partnering exclusively with operators like Sunworld who pay above industry standards, we ensure your journey fosters a cycle of local economic empowerment and professional pride.

Our "Active Participation" extends to social advocacy. Whether it’s participating in a sewing experience at the Olmalaika Trust to create reusable sanitary towels or learning ancient tracking skills on educational bushwalks, we prioritize the dignity and privacy of the communities we visit.

2. The Circular Economy: Education via Reforestation. Waste shouldn't be a dead end. Our 'Plastics for Books' initiative at local schools turns environmental waste into a bridge for literacy. Your presence directly funds the tools the next generation needs to protect their own landscapes.

Active luxury is about active participation. We don't just talk about the environment; we plant the seeds for its future. Learn why reforestation is the cornerstone of our climate commitment.

3. Plastic-Free Luxury & Low-Impact Lodging: True luxury leaves an invisible footprint. We hand-select boutique lodges with strict no-plastic policies, ensuring that your stay at places like Larsens or Mara Bush Camp preserves the pristine nature of the savannah.

Conservation has no borders. From supporting unrestricted wildlife corridors to visiting the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary, the first community-owned and run sanctuary in Africa, your presence becomes a catalyst for preservation

4. Rewilding & Unrestricted Wildlife Corridors: We support the maintenance of natural migration corridors, ensuring that the Big Five and beyond have unrestricted access to ancient water holes and wild habitats.

Why Radical Transparency Matters in Luxury Safaris

Are any safaris in Kenya truly ethical?

No. I would say that no safari in Kenya is truly ethical. But, I have a dream to change this and to offer a safari that is as ethical as humanly possible.

The Active Luxury Difference from October 2026

True luxury is about the luxury of access. This October and November, I am partnering with 57 Hours to lead a curated, seven-day "Active Luxury" expedition designed exclusively for solo female travelers.

We have removed the barriers. Instead of crowded tourist routes, we enter private conservancies. Instead of being spectators, we become part of a regenerative cycle of education and conservation.

We swap the crowded tourist routes for private conservancies, engaging in purposeful bushwalks and transformative community encounters - at our partners schools. Between the ancient power of a Maasai blessing and the modern restoration of Reiki, this is 360-degree immersion into what it means to travel with purpose. You are not just booking a seat: you are part of a regenerative cycle of education and conservation, all while being held in the finest boutique hospitality Kenya has to offer.

What is one of the most ethical things that you offer that you are proud of?

It has to be the plastics for schools initiative with the CWC Community Wildlife Conservation in Kenya

Visit Community Wildlife and a strong initiative is the Plastics for Books at Schools in Kenya. We like to call this the circular economy.

Plastics for Books at Schools in Kenya

Our partner CWC creates waste bins in schools in Kenya. If you did not know, there is a plastics waste problem throughout Kenya. Now with these bins, children and adults are encouraged to clean up after themselves.

These large bins, once full of plastic are recycled to create school books.

Active Luxury means Active Participation

Here we see the real world impact of conscious travel at our partners' school in Samburu

This is the bin at the school in Samburu outside of the National Reserve. As you can see it is created by our charity partner CWC and sponsored by Sunworld and Soroi. Both also our partners, that provide accommodation and support all local community initiatives.

This bin can be found in Samburu National park and is for everyone at the park to use. As you can see it is sponsored by Sunworld Safaris (our partner), Soroi Collection (where we stay) and our charity partner the CWC
