Jeep Fatigue is the physical and mental drain of being a passive observer behind glass for 6 hours a day. My trips are different. Active Luxury means waking up in a 5 star camp like Soroi Larsens but heading out on foot with Samburu warriors. We move, we visit schools, and we engage with the land instead of just watching it like a TV show. It is about high end comfort paired with high engagement activity.

What about mud, mosquitoes, and Tsetse flies?

In the Green Season (April, May, and November), the bush is lush and beautiful. Yes, there is mud and there are bugs. Preparation is key to staying comfortable while you enjoy the exclusivity of the secret season, including knowing how to handle mosquito season and what colors to wear to avoid Tsetse flies.

For 2026, we have schedules for April 10, April 22, May 4th, and October 11 to 21st. Our 2027 calendar includes 10 Day Signature Journeys in April and October, and multiple 7 Day Soul of the Savannah dates throughout April, May, October, and November.

What is the luggage limit for our flights?

Because we are flying on small light aircraft to maximize our time in the bush, we are allowed a maximum of 15kg. This is exactly why you need to pack light and why I have chosen accommodations with the best laundry services.

Yes, you absolutely can! While many old school guides say no, I believe you can stay stylish and practical. You can stay chic while being active in the bush by following a few simple rules.

How demanding is the trip physically?

The pace is relaxed but active. Be prepared to walk on bushwalks and be active at school visits or while planting trees. You do not sit in the jeep the whole day; you will enjoy the Safari both inside and outside of the 4x4.
