Safari Style
Luxury Safari Style for Every Age: From the Mara to the City With One Timeless Artisan Necklace.
I bought this necklace from a pregnant lady in Samburu, just outside the school that we visited. I went back the next day and bought another one.
It's a timeless statement piece, and I will show you how to style it at home or on Safari. But first, let's bust some myths.

There is a persistent myth that to be "safari-ready," you have to be dressed head to toe in oversized khaki zipped trousers. But if you have followed some of my journeys jumping with the Maasai in the Mara and or driving through the rugged plains of Samburu, you know I have a different philosophy.
I like to call in Active Luxury.
When you are travelling solo through Kenya, or in a joining group, your wardrobe is more than just clothing. It's your armour. Your safety and your invitation. When I mean armour, I do not mean that Kenya is not safe as a solo female. I mean your armour against bugs, snakes, and other flying creatures that you will face on Safari. But more than that is about finding the sweet spot between practical balance and high-end elegance. Because, the African bush, does have some practical demands that need to be considered.
How to Make Safari Chic a Universal Language
I love safari style! Let me show you how to make Safari Chic a universal language with one timeless statement necklace. The models are all my friends in Germany from the ages of 19 to 60. (Also see Safari Outfits for Women Over 50) This statement piece works on everyone! You will look great in every boutique lodge or camp.
The Vibe: The Luxe Layers
Sophisticated and structured. Perfect for a cool morning game drive or a flight into the Masai Mara Reserve.
The Story:
Morning in the Mara can be crisp. This structured camel jacket offers warmth without sacrificing elegance, especially when paired with this hand-beaded artisan necklace that tells a story of its own.

The Vibe: Boutique Minimalist
Modern, chic, and functional. The tan bag adds that "pop" of classic luxury. But this is your every day no brainer outfit.
The Story:
Who says, "you cannot bring city chic to the savannah?" A soft knit and a statement bag are the perfect companions for a boutique lodge lunch at the Mara Bush Camp.

The Vibe: The Modern Edge
Bold and youthful. She shows that safari style can be edgy and contemporary.
The Story:
Active luxury is about expression. Mixing classic pinstripes with traditional beadwork. This creates a look that is fearless as the Kenyan landscape itself!

The Vibe: Earth and Gold
Effortless evening glamour. This is your "Sundowner" look. It works in Germany or Europe, just as well as in the savannah.
The Story:
As the sun dips down below the horizon, trade our dust for gold! Satin textures and earth tones reflect the warmth of the Kenyan light. This proves that comfort and high-fashion are at one and the same on Safari.

Style Tip: Looking Safari Chic while staying protected
Everyone is worried about mosquitos in Africa. Even though I tell and advise, that they are not that bad away from the water... it is a worry.
I love this look as it also embodies the "no bite" strategy!
Nothing is going to eat you when you look this good!

The Vibe: The Safari Graphic
Approachable, fun and classic. It is safari style for the mature woman.
The Story:
Comfort is the ultimate luxury. A playful graphic t-shirt paired with flowing trousers is my go-to for a relaxed afternoon of beading with local women, or a game drive.

When you are this close to wildlife. When the baby leopard is running towards you, you want to be comfortable but glamourous! And you will be
