I am absolutely thrilled to share my partnership with the Community Wildlife Conservation (CWC) in Kenya! This is part of a greater partnership with Best Safaris and Sunworld.

This incredible charity is doing remarkable work, and I am honored to support their initiatives. Together, we are making a difference in areas like education, environmental conservation, and women's empowerment. Let me take you through some of the amazing projects we are involved in!

Supporting Education & Bursaries

CWC runs several bursary programs that support both primary and secondary students. Initiatives like the Nuru Mwangaza bursary and top student secondary sponsorships are game-changers! They enable access to schooling and help reduce financial barriers that many families face. Education is the key to a brighter future, and CWC is unlocking doors for countless children!

“Plastics for Books” Recycling Program

One of the most innovative initiatives is the “Plastics for Books” recycling program. CWC collects plastics from local schools and communities for recycling. The proceeds from this effort are then used to purchase books for school libraries! This program fosters both environmental stewardship and literacy. It’s a win-win for our planet and our children’s education!

E-Learning & Digital Access

In today’s digital age, access to technology is crucial. CWC facilitates E-Learning support, including access to platforms like the Kenya Education Cloud. This helps children engage in digital education even outside traditional classrooms. With this initiative, we are bridging the gap and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn and grow!

Food Donations & Community Aid

During tough times, communities need support. CWC distributes food aid to families affected by income loss from conservancies and parks. This vital assistance helps provide essential nutrition during hardship. It’s heart warming to see how we can come together to support one another in times of need!

Sanitary Pad Distribution

Empowering girls is at the heart of what we do. CWC distributes reusable sanitary pads to girls across the Taita Hills and Lumo areas. This initiative improves hygiene, boosts school attendance, and promotes dignity. By addressing menstrual health, we are fostering female empowerment and ensuring that girls can pursue their education without barriers!

Looking Ahead: A Bright Future Together

This is just the beginning of our relationship with CWC. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead! Together, we can continue to support these impactful initiatives and create lasting change in the communities we serve.

Q: What exactly is a "Philanthropic Safari"?

A: It is a travel experience that builds in visits to community projects, such as schools or conservation trusts, where a portion of your booking fee goes directly to local empowerment.

Q: How do I know if a safari operator is truly ethical?

A: Look for operators that have transparent partnerships with local NGOs (like CWC Kenya) and those that employ staff from the local Maasai or Samburu communities.

Q: Can I visit a local school during my safari?

A: Yes, many of our itineraries include "impact days" where you can visit schools we support to see the bursary programs in action without disrupting the students' learning.

Q: Does my visit really help wildlife conservation?

A: Yes! By paying conservancy fees, you provide the financial incentive for local communities to protect wildlife habitats instead of using the land for farming.

Let’s embark on this unforgettable journey together! 🌍✨
