Why shouldn’t you wear white on a Safari?
I get asked this question a lot! But to be honest, after 10 safaris, I have no idea. I often wear white on Safaris. Especially if I am in the heat. The worst is being hot and sweaty when you are in a vehicle. Wear white, it will keep you cool. Also, wear cotton or linen.

Can white clothes get dirty on a Safari?
Yes. They can. Remember, you have to get in and out of the jeep, and it can be dusty. But that does not bother me. There are laundry services, and I use them. You sweat in the heat, anyway, so you will want to change your clothes. Choosing accommodation with laundry is a Godsend.
If there isn't a laundry service, should I avoid wearing white on Safari?
Yes. I think so. Especially if you are on a budget Safari, as the vehicle might be shared with more people and you might be cramped, especially if in a Safari Van.

So should I wear white on a Safari?
Yes. If you want to. Go ahead! But make sure you have a shawl or jumper with you at all times as the Safari can get cold quickly. There are no other reasons why you shouldn't wear white on a Safari.
