Where?
In Kenya. We will start in Nairobi. Move to Sweetwaters then on to Samburu. After that we will refresh in Nairobi as we fly to the Masai Mara.

Day 1 Arrival in Nairobi
Welcome to Kenya! Upon landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and escorted to your private transfer. Settle into your hotel, take a breath, and let the rhythm of Africa begin to unfold.

Day 2 Nairobi Immersion Day
Enjoy a slow, easy morning to relax, swim, or explore Nairobi at your own pace. The hotel is next door to the largest shopping centre in Nairobi. In the evening, join your hosts and guides for a welcome mixer, an informal gathering to meet fellow travellers, discuss the journey ahead, and enjoy your first night in Kenya together.

Day 3 Sweetwaters Tented Camp Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, begin your journey north through rolling highlands, coffee farms, and striking rural landscapes. Pause at the Equator line… a perfect photo moment as you step from one hemisphere to the other.
Arrive at Sweetwaters Tented Camp, set beside a wildlife-rich waterhole. After lunch, settle into your tent before heading out on an afternoon game drive across the world-famous Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

Sunset Intention Circle
As the sky turns gold over Mount Kenya, gather by the fire for a gentle guided reflection.
Connect with the four elements, earth, air, fire, and water, while tuning in to the stillness and pulse of the African evening.
Day 4 Samburu: Conservation embraces Culture
Travel deeper north to Samburu National Reserve, a ruggedly beautiful landscape shaped by desert winds and the life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River.

Day 5 Community Day & Conservation Experience
Begin the morning with a guided trail walk led by Samburu rangers, an intimate way to learn about animal tracks, local plants, and day-to-day conservation realities.
Later, visit a local primary school and participate in a thoughtful tree-planting activity, contributing directly to community-led reforestation.
Before dinner, enjoy an authentic honey harvesting & tasting experience at the fireside.

Day 6 Reteti Elephant Sanctuary
Today you’ll visit Reteti, East Africa’s pioneering community-owned elephant sanctuary.
Witness the rescue and rehabilitation of orphaned elephant calves and learn how Samburu communities protect wildlife through collective stewardship.
This visit offers profound insight into how conservation succeeds when communities are empowered and supported.

Day 7 Return to Nairobi
Depart Samburu and travel back to Nairobi in time for lunch.
Check into your hotel and enjoy a peaceful evening to unwind, shop, or explore local dining options.

Day 8 Fly to the Masai Mara
After breakfast we plan to visit the Giraffe Center, but it will depend on the time of the flight to the Masai Mara. Transfer to the Wilson airstrip for your scenic flight into the Maasai Mara.
The Mara is the northern heartbeat of the Serengeti ecosystem home to rolling plains, sweeping skies and just a stillness that heals.
Enjoy lunch at camp before your first afternoon game drive.

Day 9 Masai Mara Exploration
Spend the day exploring the vast Mara plains, riverbanks, and woodland in search of elephants, big cats, giraffes, antelope, and more.
Optional: visit a women’s conservation or craft project, supporting community empowerment and education.
Evening Circle of Light
As night settles over the Mara, gather around the fire for a reflective closing ceremony.
Guests share insights, stories, and gratitude honouring the journey and sealing it with a symbolic blessing for safe travels and new connections.

Day 10 Community Visit
Spend the morning visiting the Olmalaika Trust, an organisation supporting children aged 0 -12 through safety, education, and holistic care.
In the evening, join Bena Roberts for a relaxed fireside conversation reflecting on community impact, responsible travel, and the power of purposeful exploration.

Day 11 Departure
After a final breakfast in the bush, take a morning flight from the Mara back to Nairobi.
A day room is reserved for you to refresh, repack, and relax before your evening transfer to the airport for your journey home.
