The Masai Mara is an extraordinary wildlife ecosystem. It's known for its vast savannahs and big cats. It is located in southern Kenya, bordering Tanzania's Serengeti.

The History and Geography of the Masai Mara

The Masai Mara's name comes from the Maasai people and the Mara River. The river cuts through the national reserve, and the river sustains local wildlife all year-round. The region is protected, and has been since the 1940s. The Masai Mara is one of the most important conservation areas in East Africa, where you can find lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, and hundreds of bird species.

Its open grasslands and rolling hills make the Masai Mara one of the most reliable places to experience African wildlife. Many people say that if you go to one place in Kenya, go to the Masai Mara.

I work closely with trusted local partners in Kenya to design ethical, eco-luxury safari experiences that balance comfort with conservation. This includes a partnership with the Soroi Collection. We use knowledgeable guides that respect wildlife and local communities. Our local partner has a fleet of reliable vehicles and guides who have been working with them for the past 15 years.

Because I curate each safari personally, I can offer competitive pricing for high-quality eco-luxury accommodation, without compromising on experience or integrity.

Question?

Bena, I love your all-women itinerary. But I only want to go to the Masai Mara. I want a Masai Mara safari experience. I want to take the whole family or my partner.  Can you help me?

Answer - Of course!

I will help you curate a safari that fits how you want to travel.

The images below are of me in the Mara at a Mara Bush Camp Sundowner and also of a sunset of the plains of the Masai Mara, in the same location. Being met at the Mara airport by our guide and an aerial shot of landing in the Masai Mara.
